The movie focuses on the water shortage story in Mumbai which is forbidden by everyone. It is Love Story. In the movie the young handsome water warrior kidnap the daughter of the chairman of the world largest water corporation. The conflict between two cities resulted as a love story. From those cities one is rich and water is available but in the other there is no water and they are poor also. Its all about the war for water, that is why named as PAANI.
